Merry Christmas!
John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
The Christmas tree, with its evergreen branches, is a symbol of the eternal life we are promised in Christ, whose birth we celebrate this season. A cozy tree farm portrait was just what we needed after a year of intentional support to our five unique children and our 20th year of marriage. Making sure each of us has what we need to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually is a challenge, but a focus on the eternal brings us peace.
This eternal perspective means we are
- in awe of God’s spirit working worldwide and in Matt’s local morning Men’s Group
- appreciative of Kat’s prayer partners and her continued professional opportunities
- delighted in Lorien’s (16) leadership role at youth group and her joy for pre-calculus
- thrilled with Leighton’s (14) profession of faith and his cross country personal record
- encouraged by Graiden’s (13) musical praise and delight in learning new instruments
- curious about the path God has for Tiernan (10) and his encyclopedic knowledge of axolotls
- assured by God’s constant love for Vivian (5) and her excitement for her daily yoga practice.
We wish you peace and joy (and some cozy hugs, too!)
